Band Booster

Who Are the South County High School Band Boosters?

YOU!  Every Band Parent is automatically a member of the SCHS Band Boosters.  Participation is optional and there are no dues.  Attendance at Band performances, meetings and events is encouraged.

The Band Boosters are an organization of parents whose goal is to help the Band Director so that he can focus on teaching our students.  The more we can facilitate his work, the more he can concentrate on leading our students along the path of excellence.  The Band Boosters host general parent meetings throughout the school year and all parents are invited to attend.

There is an Executive Booster Board that works with the Band Director and have monthly meetings.  The positions on this board include:

  • President, SCHS Band Boosters
  • Vice President of Fundraising
  • Vice President of Operations
  • Vice President of Communications
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer

In addition to the board positions there are coordinator positions and other volunteer slots that need to be filled each year.  There are small jobs and those that involve a larger commitment.  The Boosters appreciate any help a parent has to offer and will glad accept any volunteer time a parent can donate.

Part of the mission of the Band Boosters is to raise funds to keep the costs of participating in Band as low as possible for the student.  It is the Band Boosters goal to assist in funding various needs of the band program.  We can only do this with your help.  Please take a moment to think about what you may have to offer our students and the Boosters.  We always need volunteers and your time is always appreciated.  Please feel free to reach out to any member of the Band Boosters Board or email us at southcountybandboosters@gmail.com and a member of the Band Boosters will contact you to answer any questions you may have.
